It’s now known what was in the backpack Luigi Mangione was carrying when he was taken into custody here in Altoona back in December. ABC News reports that the items in the black backpack indicated Mangione could have been planning to kill someone else, according to a court document. It shows the black backpack contained a gun, a Glock magazine, 9mm cartridges and a silencer. Other items included a knife, chrome drill bits, duct tape, zip ties, handwritten notes and personal items. Police also found registration for the Upper West Side hostel that authorities say Mangione stayed at before the December murder of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson. It listed the name Mark Rosario, the same name on the fake New Jersey ID allegedly used by Mangione.
