Road Work To Begin Today In Altoona Along 10th Avenue

City of Altoona will begin a project today to repair a portion of the 10^th Avenue retaining wall that borders the Norfolk Southern Mainline.  A long-term detour will be in place for all thru-traffic, beginning along 10^th Avenue and 20^th Street and ending on 10^th Avenue and 22^nd Street.  Motorists are asked to find an alternate route of travel for the duration of the project.  The project is expected to take six weeks to complete.
