The Central Pennsylvania Humane Society s reporting that an individual seen throwing a dog over their fence last week, has been identified. With the help of both the Logan Township and Williamsburg Police Departments the owner was found, and it was discovered the abandoned dog, whose name is Cherry, had a six week old female puppy that still resided at the home. Reportedly, charges are in the process of being filed for animal neglect/cruelty and abandonment. Both Cherry and her puppy are now in the custody of the humane society, and are being assessed, and will undergo exams. The humane society is hoping that Cherry will eventually wind up in a good home. The puppy, is currently not up for adoption at this time.
