Pennsylvania hunters harvested about 11% more deer in the 2024-25 hunting seasons than they did the year before, and that’s according to the Pennsylvania Game Commission. The statewide harvest is estimated at 476,880 deer. By comparison, the statewide harvest for the prior year was a little over 430-thousand deer. The Game Commission’s harvest estimates are calculated using antlered and antlerless harvest reports, submitted by hunters, in combination with data from deer checked by crews at processors across the state.
