PennDOT is advising motorists to expect delays beginning Monday on I-99 between the Plank Road and Frankstown Road exits in Blair County. According to a press release, the contractor, New Enterprise Stone and Lime Company, will be implementing long-term passing lane closures using channelizers and barriers from the Plank Road exit to the Frankstown exit, in both the north and southbound lanes. The over 23 million dollar project includes an asphalt overlay of the road, and a latex overlay on the bridge decks, as well as guide rail updates, new signage and pavement markings.
