A Centre County falconer has been reunited his rare red hawk after the bird got whisked away by wind over the weekend. At the beginning of the week, falconer Francis Gray asked for the public’s help in trying to find his bird. He was hunting with the hawk on Saturday at the Philipsburg Elks Lodge when the bird was blown away by a strong gust of wind. Yesterday, Gray’s family posted on social media that the bird had been found and was healthy. The bird was discovered in the very last tree that Gray had last seen her in.
