A protest march and rally is scheduled for Saturday afternoon at 3, at the Heritage Plaza in downtown Altoona. A group of local organizations who oppose a number of actions by the Trump Administration will be part of a national protest that organizers are calling “Hands Off.” Reportedly, the marches are expected to focus on cuts being made by the Department of Government Efficiency led by Elon Musk. DOGE has been tasked with eliminating waste and fraud from federal government. Numerous speakers will be on hand for Saturday’s event.
