dog-3

A case of animal neglect was reported in Bedford County.  State police were called in to investigate, after a number of dogs and cats had to be rescued from a camper and an abandoned farmhouse in West Providence Township.  Reportedly, when state police arrived they found the animals had been neglected, numerous dogs were found tied outside the camper, and others were  located in the camper or the farmhouse.  Allegedly some of the dogs appeared to be emaciated and under duress.   Police spoke to the owner who reportedly admitted the animals had never received any kind of care from a veterinarian.  Twelve dogs, and nine cats were rescued from the scene, and placed with different animal shelters in the area.  State police note that charges are pending.
