Fire crews were sent to the scene of an apartment fire last night on the 2400 block of Broad Avenue in Altoona. We don’t have compete details, but we do know that four residents of the building were able to escape the blaze. The fire reportedly started on the first floor. No one was injured, and several pets were also able to get out safely. Damage reportedly has been estimated at $40,000. Cause of the fire is under investigation.
