Luigi Mangione is now officially charged with murdering UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson. Thompson was gunned down in broad daylight on December 4th outside a Manhattan Hilton. Mangioni allegedly was that gunman, and was on the run until he was apprehended by Altoona Police at McDonalds on December 10th. Yesterday, a federal jury in New York returned a four-count indictment against the 26-year-old Maryland man. The federal charges he faces include two counts of stalking, a firearms offense, and murder with a firearm. The last charge makes him eligible for the death penalty if convicted, something Attorney General Pam Bondi has already said she’ll seek.
