Several underfed dogs, cats and a bird were rescued from a Somerset County home last week, and reportedly they are currently on the mend. The animals were rescued from what was described as long term abuse from a home in Jennerstown. On April 16 police arrested two people for drug possession when they noticed the severely neglected animals. Somerset County Humane Officials have said the animals were emaciated with their bones showing through their skin. Reportedly, all animals are now receiving the proper care they need. An investigation into this case is continuing.
