A 41-year-old Morrisdale woman is facing numerous charges after she allegedly embezzled over $3,000 from the West Branch Varsity Booster Club. Charged was Shawna Rinehart. Reportedly, state police began an investigation last fall, after missing funds were reported. State police say Rinehart allegedly misappropriated funds through transactions using the group’s credit card from 2022 to 2024, while serving as the club’s treasurer. She is facing charges of theft by unlawful taking, and other related counts. She is to face a preliminary hearing today.
