American Lung Association Warns Of Poor Air Quality In Some PA Counties

air

The latest State of the Air Report by the American Lung Association shows poor results for Central Pennsylvania.  Dauphin, York, Cumberland, Adams, Lancaster, Berks, Northampton, Lehigh  and Lebanon Counties received an “F” grade for 24-hour particle pollution, which is the mixture of solid particles and liquid droplets in the air.  The Harrisburg-York-Lebanon metro area was also named the third-worst in the Mid-Atlantic region for air quality.  The American Lung Association believes the poor air quality conditions are a lingering effect of the Canadian wildfires from 2023, which carried smoke into the area.
