A Penn State wrestler has been accused of drunkenly running from police and resisting arrest after he was told to leave a fraternity house last month. Twenty-year-old Braeden Davis, who is an All-American with the Nittany Lion wrestling team, was asked to leave the fraternity house, after he and another man were arguing with security guards. During a struggle with police Davis alledgedly broke an officer’s wristwatch and radio ear piece, and tore his body-worn camera from his mount. On Monday, Davis was charged via summons with misdemeanor counts of resisting arrest, evading arrest, public drunkenness and underage drinking. In a prepared statement, Penn State Athletics said, “These actions do not reflect the values and standards of our program and will be addressed.” A preliminary hearing is scheduled for May 21st.
