According to news reports, the recount for the race between Dr. Mehmet Oz and Dave McCormick will cost roughly $1 million. McCormick conceded defeat last Friday, before the recount was even completed. But once started, it had to be finished per state law. The vote count was within .1% point between the 2 candidates from the may 17th primary. Counties across pa will be reimbursed by the dept of state. A motion to recount ballots in 12 counties filed by McCormick was withdrawn on Monday. Dr. Oz is scheduled to be in Altoona next Wednesday at Tom & Joes diner.
