In a report by WTAJ, the Pinecroft Volunteer Fire Company says it will not be attending parades or helping residents to fill their swimming pools because of…RISING Gasoline prices. Officials at Pinecroft did say that they will always respond to fire alarms when called, but the other activities will have to be put on hold for the time being. A 1 time fill up of one of their company fire trucks cost the dept $250, and that cost will certainly go higher in the weeks and months to come. One officials said they enjoy participating in parades and helping out neighbors, but they now have to cuts down on when they take their trucks out for anything but actual calls.
