A report in the Altoona Mirror indicates that state police have charged John Eltman II of Saxton with nearly 40 charges of sexual assault of a girl starting when she was just 13 years old. The victim told Bedford County Children and Youth services that Etman had repeatedly assaulted her beginning in 2020. The victim told authorities of at least 6 incidents where Eltman allegedly had sexual intercourse with the child. Eltman is facing a laundry list of charges including 33 felonies and 6 misdemeanors. He is locked up in the Bedford County jail, unable to post his $100,000 bond.
