In a report by the National Desk, members of the house say they will begin to draft impeachment articles against the embattled D.A. Krasner made national headlines soon after taking office telling residents he did not believe that he would prosecute people who commit “low level offenses” according to him. Since then, the crime rate in Philadelphia has skyrocketed during his tenure. The lawmakers say they want Krasner out for failing to perform the duties of his sworn oath. Krasner was quoted in Philly newspapers saying threat there is no crisis of lawlessness, crime or violence in Philadelphia. An impeachment trial would only take place if the house voted on and approved articles of impeachment and then the senate would need to reach a 2/3 majority to remove Krasner from office.
