News reports indicate that the school got its wish on Friday afternoon. The board of trustees voted to raise tuition by 5% at university park and 2% at all branch campuses. This means that some undergrad students will have to fork out an extra $459 at University Park, and about $151 more at PSU Altoona per semester. Undergraduate students whose families make less than $75,000 won’t have to pay the increase if they filled out a federal student aid application. Also, Pitt announced a 3.5% tuition increase for instate undergrad students at its main campus and a 2% increase for its four regional campuses.
