TV news reports indicate that police have charged 40 year old Autumn Hartman Kohut with vehicular homicide. Her son, 20 year old Jacob Williams died after suffering from cardiac arrest last October. His injuries were the result of a car accident caused by his mother back in 2002. Kohut was driving in Lorain Borough during the afternoon of may 14, 2002 when she crossed the center line of traffic and slammed head on into a CamTran bus. Williams was left a quadriplegic as a result of the crash. Hartman had heroin and other opioids in her system at the time of the crash. She was arrested this week and is charged with felony homicide by vehicle and involuntary manslaughter.
