The Altoona Mirror reports that the three suspects identified as Mihai Constantin, Andrei Iosif and Pardelean Rostas are all facing charges of trying to scam Walmarts out of money for fraudulent transactions. Constantin would try to complete a fraudulent transaction then go to customer service and demand a refund. A Walmart employee noticed that this was an attempt to steal cash from the store and shut down the transaction. Constantin then left the East Freedom Walmart. The two other suspects tried the same scam in two State College Walmarts, one in Ebensburg and a final stop in Richland Twp, where the trio was arrested. All but one of the attempted thefts were stopped, the men are accused of stealing $500 from the Ebensburg Walmart. All three men have been arraigned and are locked up in the Blair County prison.
