Television news reports indicate the 4 officers entered a burning house in march of 2021, and rescued a woman who was trapped inside. One of the officers said that he just reacted when he entered the garage of the home and heard the victim screaming for someone to help her. 3 other officers arrived on the scene and also entered the house, carrying the woman to safety just minutes before the roof of the home collapsed. The officers also stated that an oxygen tank exploded inside the home as well. The officers were all given the law enforcement officer of the year award by Centre County for their bravery.
