The report stated that the program had varying locations this summer, and that may have contributed to the decline in the number of participants. No specific numbers were given, but district officials say that even with the high inflation numbers, fewer lunches apparently were served. The program will come to an official end this Monday with a pre planned raffle. Kids and parents can enter that raffle simply by entering a ticket at today’s last lunch serving. Serving time today is 11a-1p at the Jr High, Irving, Pleasant Valley and Washington Jefferson buildings. District officials say they will look in to what caused the decline in participants next week.
