Officials of the Intermunicipal Relations Committee say that the collection will take place today and tomorrow in the parking lot of the Jaffa Shrine. You must pre register for the event. Cost is $15 per vehicle and payments will be taken in cash or check form only. Acceptable items to be collected are flourescent bulbs and tubes, items containing mercury(smoke detectors and thermostats), lead acid batteries, automotive fluids, pesticides and fertilizers, spray paint and other aerosol cans and latex and oil based paint. Alkaline batteries, medications, used tires and electronics will not be accepted. The collections run today from noon-5, and tomorrow from 8a-1p. For more information, call 814 942-7472
