Television news reports indicate that state police were called out to the scene of the crash along interstate 80 in Marion Twp Saturday morning. Police say that 37 year old Julie Volk was traveling west on 80 around 3 am when she changed lanes suddenly, tried to correct back into her lane on two separate occasions. Volk then lost control of her car, which flipped onto the drivers side and skidded for some 220 feet before coming to rest. Volk was killed at the scene, and a passenger in her car was injured. Police are investigating, but a preliminary report suggests that it was driver fatigue that caused the crash.
