The Altoona Mirror reports that the trial for 30 year old Tim McClendon is set for this October. McClendon is accused of shooting a man in the neck at the victim’s home on the 1700 block of 6th avenue during a daylight confrontation . The fight allegedly stemmed form a reported sexual assault of a woman known to McClendon by the victim. McClendon is accused of attacking the victim with a gun and baseball bat. The prosecution in the case filed pre trial motions to exclude some evidence, while the defense still has not filed any objections to those motions. McClendon who was arrested on February 4th, 2020 is charged with attempted homicide, aggravated assault and reckless endangerment.
