The Associated Press reported that a federal judge sentenced 72 year old Howard Richardson of King of Prussia, Pa for attacking a police officer at the capitol. The report said that Richardson did not actually enter the capitol building, but he was caught on police body cam footage attacking an officer with a metal flagpole. Richardson was also charged with using a billboard as a battering ram. Richardson told the judge in this case that he was sorry and his actions were inexcusable and asked the court for mercy. He received none. Richardson was sentenced to 46 months in prison.
