News reports indicate that the ABCD Corporation has expanded the Altoona-Logan Twp enterprise zone. That expansion now includes Tyrone, Hollidaysburg, Roaring Spring and Williamsburg. The enterprise zone is a program that provides tax incentives for private companies and businesses which are looking to rehabilitate, expand or improve buildings in the designated zone. The ABCD Corporation is excited with the expansion, and hopes to see Blair County grow. The enterprise zone program provides low interest loans and tax credits to businesses. With 6 enterprise zones, Blair County is one of the largest concentrations in the state.
