A report in the Altoona Mirror indicates that 25 year old Nakesha Feathers was given a 4-8 year prison sentence after her conviction in May on criminal gun possession charges. Feathers told police she bought a gun for protection, but had been in trouble for drug crimes, Judge Jackie Bernard told Feathers in court that she needed to change her way of living, because the drugs and guns were cause for concern. Feathers had been jailed for 2 years, her release in 2019. She was convicted this year of gun possession without a license. According to the report, this case is separate from a pending drug case against feathers.
