In a television news report, officials say that both Jacob Runyon and Chase Cominsky are accused of putting lead weights inside of fish they apparently caught. Lake Erie Walleye Trail championship director Jason Fischer cut open a fish and discovered the weights inside of a fish. Fischer told folks on social media that he is glad he finally caught the cheaters, but he is disappointed that it went on for as long as it did. Prize money is handed out each year at the event.
