A report by WTAJ indicates that the average price for a gallon of gas across the nation has risen to $3.92, and that price has stuck for an entire day. In many areas of Pennsylvania, including the Altoona area, gas has shot up to $3.99 a gallon just within the past 2 days, a 20 cent per gallon increase. As of yesterday, gas was still at $3.88 a gallon in Jefferson county. Triple-A reports that even with the sudden rise in prices, thanks to OPEC’s decision to cut production by 2 million barrels per day, the price is still cheaper than the nationwide average of $5.02 a gallon back in June. However. Prices are likely to continue to rise.
