A report by WTAJ indicates that police arrested 36 year old Ashley Growden of Everett for retail theft. According to the report, Growden was putting items in a bag she was carrying at the Walmart in Allegheny Twp on October 11th. Store loss prevention workers told police that Growden put on a pair of boots while in the store. Growden managed to get to her vehicle, but jumped out and began to run from Allegheny Twp police and ran into a construction area near Walmart, but she was caught in that area. Police say she had nearly $200 worth of stolen merchandise inher bag, and they found drug paraphenalia and pills. Growden has a history of retail theft convictions.
