The DEA’s Nation Prescription Drug Take-Back Day is Saturday, October 29th from 10am to 2pm. You can safely dispose of prescription and over-the counter medications at locations including with the Altoona Police at Thompson’s Pharmacy – 600 East Chestnut Avenue, Freedom Twp Police at the Duncansville Walmart, The VA Medical Center in Altoona,  The Blair County Sheriff’s Office at the Courthouse in Hollidaysburg, Penn State Altoona’s Poplar Building, Gallitzin, Cambria Twp and Carrolltown Police and Nanty-Glo Police at Mainline Pharmacy.  For more locations, go to TakeBackDay.dea.gov
