A report in the Altoona Mirror indicates that charges have been filed against 37 year old Santana Laret of roaring spring. She is charged with shooting her husband in January 2021. The report states that Laret reportedly called police on the night of January 31st 2021 to tell them that her husband was beating and strangling her, then she allegedly shot him. The victim told police that he did not try to strangle Laret, and that the two argued over a divorce request by the victim. Police say that Laret’s version of the shooting did not match up with evidence collected at the crime scene. Laret was arraigned on numerous felony charges.
