A report by WJAC indicates that Gov Wolf has signed legislation that will allow the state to withhold your vehicle registration if you don’t pay your toll bills to the turnpike commission. The commission says it is owed at least $259 million in unpaid tolls for both 2021 and 2022. If you are one of the more than 25,000 who have bills to pay, you must do so or you will not be able get your vehicle registration. Customers will be notified that they owe money and how much. They will be given several opportunities to pay their outstanding bills, or risk having their registrations held up. The new law goes into effect in 2 months.
