According to a report by WTAJ, fire officials alerted residents in Sandy Twp that there was smoke billowing up from the fire. The report stated that the Pennsylvania Game Commission planned a controlled burn situation, but it apparently got out of hand. Residents were asked to take caution while driving because of the thick smoke eminating from the wildfire. Members of the mountain top fire company were staying in the area of the fire last last night to put out any potential flare ups. No one was injured by the blaze.
