According to a report by WJAC, residents of both Wallaceton Borough and Boggs Twp went to the polls to decide if the 2 Clearfield County municipalities should merge into one. The measure needed the majority of both areas to vote in favor of merging. Boggs Twp voters voted 400 to 317 in favor of the merger, but Wallaceton Borough voters rejected the proposal by a vote of 75-62.
