Homegrown Rocker Playlist/Recap 11/13/22

Hello Everyone,

Here is the recap of the November 13 edition of “The Homegrown Rocker,” which airs every Sunday night from 8 to 10 PM on Q94 Classic Rock!

We welcomed a familiar guest back into our studio this week, as area musician Kent Tonkin (nowadays the bass player for Jim Donovan & the Sun King Warriors and Matt Otis & the Sound) joined us! Kent is also the founder of “Patched Together: A Day Of Music to Benefit the Healing Patch,” and he discussed this year’s 10th annual “Patched Together,” making its return as a live in-person event. We found out about “Patched Together” and the service it benefits, the Healing Patch, and we heard music from several of the bands performing at this year’s event! We also debuted new songs from Matt Nagy & the Imaginary Eagles, Jake!, OK Otter and Skulls Across America; plus updated “Local Music News,” dug a 1980 number by northeastern PA-based national recording group Dakota from the archive for a “Local Music Flashback,” and stepped “Across State Lines” to check out a song by Richmond, Virginia-based rock group Book Of Wyrms! (For those who missed the program, a four-part podcast of this show is available for listening or download from Q94’s website, www.q94classicrock.com. Click on “The Professor’s Classroom,” and then scroll down to “Homegrown Rocker Podcast” and look for the four show segments marked with the date, 111322.)
