In a report from Harrisburg, Attorney General Josh Shapiro announced the food delivery service has been ordered to pay $125,000 to several pa food banks for deliberately overcharging customers. Grubhub apparently would route customers to one if its own representatives, instead of customers ordering food from a particular restaurant itself. This would lead to higher prices for the service, on top of fees that are charged for the delivery. The central pa food bank is one of the places that will receive some of the $125,000 fine. Shapiro also warned of paying higher prices because of more expensive items on apps, fees charged by delivery apps and commissions paid by restaurants to delivery apps.
