WJAC reports that Equitrans, the company that owned the natural gas line reported that the leak was finally plugged up. The line began spilling methane gas into the air at a rate of 100 million cubic feet per day into the air since November 6th. Residents complained of the odor of the gas, and said it was becoming a serious hazard. PA environmental officials have issued a letter of warning to Equitrans, that it could be subject to 5 potential state law violations. The Rager facility, where the leak occurred is located in Jackson Twp Cambria County.
