Before Mariah Carey wrote her Christmas Mega-Hit, the was a totally different song with the same title, written by Troy Powers and Andy Stone. You may know Mr. Stone by another name: Vince Vance – as in “Vince Vance & The Valiants.” They wrote in in “a rundown Harrisburg hotel: after a hot July show at Hershey Park. The lead vocal belongs to Lisa Layne, who spent some time in Nashville, toured in a Patsy Cline tribute show and now has her own Texas-based band.
