Members of the two interested parties for the license gathered at Strawberry Square to debate the issue. A mini casino has been proposed for the Nittany Mall, but has met strong resistance from the general public. But the fight yesterday was between two rival companies apparently bidding for the license. An attorney for Stadium Casino says they will fight state college gaming for ownership of the license. A lawyer for State College Gaming said that stadium casino is not licensed and does not operate anywhere in Pennsylvania. A petition is before the Pa gaming commission with 5000 signatures against the proposed casino, with only 115 showing support.
