A report by WTAJ indicates that police have charged 47 year old Benjamin Townsend for allegedly taking some $7600 from an Altoona woman to reportedly replace her roof and buy supplies. According to the report, Townsend was contracted to do the work back in march, with the final price tag to be $9100. Townsend allegedly cashed a $7100 check after agreeing to do the work, but several months went by without any work being done. That is when the victim called police.
