News reports indicate that police report the crash occurred along the 10th avenue expressway near the 1100 block shortly before 2 am. Police say that 22 year old Collie Brown of Altoona was the person killed in the crash. 2 other people were injured and were taken to UPMC Altoona for treatment of serious injuries. Police say that brown and a passenger were both thrown out of the vehicle upon impact with a pole, and brown was allegedly traveling at a high rate of speed just before the crash. Altoona police are investigating. APD along with the Altoona Fire Dept and AMED responded to the crash site.
