According to a WTAJ report, residents of the Georgetown Townhomes are now looking for answers as to what caused the sinkhole to develop, chasing some 18 residents from their homes on Christmas Day. Residents were told at a meeting on Friday with the homeowners association, that the hole was spreading to the structures themselves, and they probably won’t be going back their to live. Residents are now having a financial burden heaped upon them, paying for short term living conditions, and paying for their townhouses.
