A report by WTAJ indicates that the Sandy Ridge wind farm, is on schedule for completion in 2024 on Tyrone borough property. Borough manager Ardean Latchford says that construction is about 50% complete, and that the project is running efficiently, despite some supply chain issues. Tyrone itself will not benefit from the turbine power that is expected to be generated, but it will reap the financial rewards. The borough expects to receive 4% of annual revenue from the wind farm, which could add up to between $170-$180,000 yearly. Latchford says the more energy that is produced, the more revenue for Tyrone.
