A report by WTAJ indicates that FirstEnergy is urging customers of Penelec, Penn Power, Met Ed and West Penn Power to seek help with a number of programs that offer assistance to those having a hard time paying their bills. Those programs include LIHEAP, PA Customer Assistance Program, Dollar Energy Fund, 211 Helpline, Emergency Rental Assistance Program and the PA Homeowners Assistance Fund. These companies can enroll you into a payment program, or give referrals for bill assistance.
