Yesterday we told you that Chief Dave Resse submitted his resignation to the township, and that Det. Sgt Dave Hoover had been acting chief. At last nights supervisors meeting, the board made it official, that Hoover has been chosen as the new police chief. Hoover has been with the police dept for 31 years and took the oath of office last night. He received high praise from the board of supervisors who feel they have made an excellent choice for their new chief. Former Chief Ron Heller sits on the board of supervisors, praised Hoover for his outstanding work as a member of the police dept.
