A report in the Altoona Mirror indicates that Senior Judge Tim Sullivan has ruled that a charge of 2nd degree murder will stand against Onya Lewis for her part in a double homicide in Altoona back in 2020. Lewis is charged along with Isiah Payne for killing Natalie Washington and Mikal Stevenson in Washington’s Beale Avenue apartment in May 2020. Lewis is accused of driving Payne to and from the scene, where a drug incident went bad, and Payne left the apartment with drugs and money. Payne was charged with actually shooting the victims to death. He is facing 1st degree murder charges. Jury selection is set to being in mid March. Payne is facing the death penalty if he is convicted of 1st degree murder.
