WJAC reported that Eagles coach Nick Siranni spent 3 seasons as an assistant coach at IUP from 2006-08. Crimson Hawks head coach Paul Tortorella says that he is not surprised at Siranni’s success, saying that while at IUP, Siranni was a constant student of the game, and absorbed as much knowledge as he possibly could. Siranni will lead the Eagles into this Sunday’s Super bBowl against the Kansas City Chiefs in just his second year at the helm. He joins Doug Pederson on that list of Eagles coaches to reach the Super Bowl in his first 2 seasons.
